SUMMARY:Tue 20 Oct: Webinar – People not Nukes: let’s prioritise real security
DESCRIPTION:Our public services are at breaking point. Another cost-of-living crisis is looming. Climate breakdown is destroying our planet. But on what does the government want to spend public money? Nuclear weapons and war. \nJoin this CND webinar to discuss how scrapping Britain’s nuclear weapons system would release £240 billion pounds over the next thirty years, money that could instead be used to  make the world safer and transform our society for the better.\nRead CND’s ‘People not Nukes’ report outlining how £240 billion could fund public services and climate action instead.\nWith guest speakers including Maryam Eslamdoust, TSSA; Denis Fernando, Friends of the Earth; and Dr Rathi Guhadasan, Socialist Health Alliance. Chaired by Sophie Bolt, CND.\n\nFor any queries please contact information@cnduk.org ( mailto:information@cnduk.org ) or phone the CND office on 020 7700 2393.\n
